Our company has created and designed all of our images from original art. Every image is copyright protected, and it is illegal to use our art in unauthorized reproduction, distribution and adaptation. Our mural kits are intended for the customer's personal use only. As the artist, Sonnyville Murals, LLC. owns the copyright of each image. Every mural image/character begins as hand drawn design using a graphic design process - no AI used for any of our designs.

The concept of our product was first developed back in 2002 and briefly sold to local retailers and online. In 2004, under new management, we tripled our product line with new mural images and characters and sold our mural kits under the name Create-a-Toon Productions until 2010. In 2023, we launched our new company name, Sonnyville Murals, LLC and re-launched our product line offering more than 130+ mural kits in popular themes. The mural kits have been streamlined with enhanced supplies to offer faster results while still achieving professional results!

We are working on offering some mural kits in alternate sizes and options, as seen in our current mural kit collections. Each mural kit and it's contents are carefully designed to offer customer ease of application with professional results. If a mural image is too small, it will not have the same impact on the wall and it becomes difficult to outline and paint. An oversized mural image is difficult to manage physically. We have been painting our murals for over 20 years, so we are mindful in offering mural sizes that are easy to complete with amazing results.

Can I alter the mural template to accommodate my wall space?

Yes! All of our mural templates are made of strong, durable, bond paper material that allows for multiple applications. Our templates can also be cut to separate mural images to accommodate your wall space. For example, there may be 3 characters on the same mural template that you can paint as shown or you can cut each individual image from the template and place them in a new arrangement on the wall. This information is included in the detailed instructions in each kit.

Are paints included with each order?

BONUS! Matching paints included with every customer order! Paint consists of 1oz and 2 oz size of matching colors shown for each mural kit. The paint is water-based, easy to apply and clean up. NOTE: you will need *tape *pencil *paint brush set to complete any mural. These items are affordable and available to purchase at most craft retail shops, including Hobby Lobby, Michaels, as well as other craft retail stores and online.

What are the white highlights on each image?

Highlighting your mural images is an option, but will make images "pop" for an overall, professional appearance. To add "highlights" to your wall murals, make sure all paint is completely dry. Using a small brush (1/8" or 1/4") and white paint (included with every order), simple create your highlights on areas of images.

Can you provide more information about acrylic paints?

Your mural kit order will include a paint kit with matching colors for each mural kit ordered. Paint brands may include "Apple Barrel", "Decoart", and store brands from Joann & Michaels, in 1 oz and 2 oz sizes. Expect to apply at least 3 coats of paint, per color to achieve desired opaqueness. Don't worry! The paint dries fast, so it does not take long to achieve results.

What type of paint brushes do you recommend?

We recommend the following paint brush sizes to paint any of our murals: 1", 3/4" 1/2", 1/4". You can purchase brushes in a set, or separately, as the total cost for your brushes should be under $18.00 (less if on sale). We use the brush sets from Joann and Michaels (depending on their stock) and they last for years. NOTE: we recommend flat brushes - not angled or round. Purchase paint brush cleaner to keep bristles in good condition. Every customer order includes a paint and paint brush recommendation sheet for your convenience.

Do you have any painting tips?

The paint dries fast, so we suggest working with one paint color at a time. Repeat the coats until you achieve the desired opacity (solid color). Then, clean brush (if needed) and move onto the next color and repeat the step. Once all the paint is completely dry, you can use the silver paint pen to touch up any areas that you accidently painted over. Do not rush through the process! - Be patient and accurate so you achieve the professional results you expect.

How do I prepare my walls for the mural applications?

Important! You will want to take the following steps to achieve best mural results:

Step 1: Before you order - measure your wall space to allow ample room for murals. Mural sizes are provided in every Mural Kit description for your convenience.

Step 2) Make sure walls are clean and completely dry (if recently painted) before beginning any of the application steps

Step 3) Rough/ highly textured walls make the application difficult and will ruin the paint pens needed to complete the application. Smooth to light/med texture is fine to paint murals on. Use your best judgement.

Will your mural kits work on dark-colored walls?

The transfer papers included in each mural kit are graphite (leaves charcoal grey

transferred lines on wall). The darker the wall color, the more difficult it is to see the transferred lines on the wall. Also, paint colors will not be as bright when painting on dark walls. We suggest painting our murals on lighter wall colors - white, cream or very light taupe walls in order to achieve the brightest, most colorful mural scenes.

Do you accept customer photos of actual rooms?

Yes, of course. We are working on our "customer photos"Actual Rooms Page for our website. Email your photos to our staff at: sonnyvillemurals@gmail.com so we can add them to our website (your personal information will not be listed).

How long does it take to paint one of these murals?

It will vary from customer to customer. We suggest not rushing the process. Take your time and enjoy creating this colorful, whimsy characters and images on your child's walls. Customers always tell us how much they look forward to painting our murals, as it is sometimes the most relaxing time of their day.

How easy is it to complete any of your murals?

Our mural kits are designed for ages 14+ to create their own wall mural art to personalize rooms for residential or commercial application. Our instructions are easy-to-do and results are professional-looking, because the process is "fool-proof"- like a giant color book on the wall - Step 1) Trace Images 2) Outline Images

Step 3) Color Images. Be patient and accurate to gain best results.

How soon will my order ship?

All orders ship 5-7 business days from order date, via USPS. When you place your order, you will receive an immediate confirmation, and when order ships, you will received a tracking number. We hand-pack every customer order to ensure the highest quality and that ample supplies are provided for best results.

What is your return policy?

You can return any mural kit that is unopened and unused, for a full-refund if received within 7 business days for shipping date.

What are some basic tips & suggestions that you offer?

Be sure walls are clean and completely dry before you begin.
Light colored walls will showcase your murals and enhance final paint colors, vs darker-colored walls.
Be sure to work in bright lighting when applying your murals. This will ensure accurate tracing, outlining and painting of your wall murals.
Mural templates and transfer papers must be adhered to wall with masking tape or push pins - you do not want these materials to move while you trace onto wall.
Use a level to confirm accurate, level placement of your mural template(s).
Graphite transfer papers mark walls easily, so light pressure technique is advised during Step #1 - Trace Image. Test transfer papers on the wall first by just marking a couple lines so you can see how easily lines are transferred.
Use an eraser to remove any unwanted lines from the transfer paper.
The silver (metallic) paint pen only requires a slight pressure to wall when outlining. We suggest practice using paint pen (on plain paper) for a moment, prior to using on wall. The silver paint pen will leave an awesome, 3-D look to your murals!
Choose to paint one color at a time, as the paint dries quickly, but will require at least 3 coats each.
When all coats of paint and colors are complete, use the silver paint pen to re-outline any areas that were accidently painted over.
Add white "highlights" to images (white paint included with each order).
Your completed murals will last for years - until you paint over them. Have fun!
